Went in for a small tire puncture and also got a rotation/balance. I waited for a good hour which is fine. When returning my car they claimed the tire was fine but turns out they checked the wrong tire. I told them numerous times before what tire was punctured so I don’t know how they goofed that. They took over an hour and a half to patch the small leak in the right tire.

Today, I went in for a scheduled tire installation appointment at Costco. The plan was simple: I pre-ordered the tires online and booked today’s appointment. While trying to place the order, I encountered issues with my account, even though both my husband and I are Costco members. To help, my mother-in-law—who is a retired Costco employee of over 30 years—placed the order for us under my name and paid using her account. This didn’t seem unusual to us, especially considering many parents buy items for their children. I even called the tire department the day before to confirm the appointment and asked if there was anything I needed to bring. I was told “no.” Upon arrival, the first employee noticed the order was under my name but tied to my mother-in-law’s account. He understood the situation and said he’d ask his supervisor how to proceed, supposedly for warranty reasons etc. That’s when things took an unfortunate turn. The supervisor, Tony Carranza, approached me and immediately began speaking in a condescending, aggressive tone. Instead of calmly explaining the issue, he berated me—saying this kind of transaction “wasn’t allowed,” that my mother-in-law must be present, and that “it’s so easy” to show up for an appointment. I explained that she lives four hours away, and we’re currently in graduate programs in the city. Life isn't always black and white—sometimes people do what they need to do to help one another. I asked what the next steps were. I’m a Costco member. The tires were paid for and shipped in. Couldn’t they just transfer the order to my account? He said he would proceed but was going to place a “block” on her Costco account. When I asked what that meant, he snapped back that it was a warning—and if she did anything like this again, they would "see." He then rudely demanded that I call her. I did, and he proceeded to speak to her just as harshly. She was perfectly fine with the arrangement, and we moved forward. While another employee kindly took over and started processing my vehicle, I witnessed the same supervisor loudly and rudely question the next woman in line: “MA’M, DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT?” repeated three times in an aggressive tone. Here’s the bottom line: I understand and respect store policies and procedures. What I don’t respect is being belittled and spoken to with unnecessary hostility by someone in a leadership role—especially when I’m a paying, respectful customer. Had Tony simply said, “Unfortunately, we need the account holder present for warranty reasons, and we’ll have to reschedule,” I would’ve understood and moved on. But his condescending, inappropriate behavior was out of line. To top it all off, when he later called to let me know my car was ready, I barely got the words “Okay, thank you” out before he hung up on me mid-sentence. This kind of treatment is disheartening. As a young woman in my 20s, it’s incredibly frustrating to be spoken down to by someone who should be setting an example of professionalism and respect. Tony, I truly hope you find more joy and purpose in your life—because the way you interact with customers today showed none of that. Everyone deserves to be treated with decency and humility.

Had a couple phone calls with the tire center to try scheduling an appointment. The customer service is rather poor. Ex: - They’d let me make an appointment, but they didn’t know if they might have the tire size in stock, so I should instead order them online and then make an appointment after they arrive. This whole process would take an unnecessary amount of time. - I had a rim that needed replacement, with a new OEM one I would have brought. They mentioned there would be an $18 fee per wheel which doesn’t seem to make much sense. Decided to go with big O tires nearby, treated significantly better and had new tires and an alignment done extremely quickly.

Two hours wait for a patch after a scheduled maintenance. Bring a book to read. I initially gave them 3 stars. However, after they delivered the car they stated that they could not find any issues. When I arrived home, after driving in the rain, I was able to easily spot the whole.

Fast service with great Costco value. I had a tire issue that need to be dealt with asap. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and was attended to very quickly. Jv was very helpful and attentive. I was able to have my car tires replaced in about 2 hours on a Saturday.
