I needed license plates and VIN verification was needed. I wasn't sure if this service was available at the Fell Street DMV location, so I did some calling around for other companies that might do it. That felt like more time and money, so I took a chance on Friday afternoon to see what would happen. I was pleasantly surprised to find that VIN verification was available with no appointment required. The wait was about ten minutes and the process was quick and easy. If you need VIN verification at Fell Street, drive in to the parking lot and then drive to the left side of the building. There's a one lane covered area that two cars can fit under. Service is available by pressing the bell if the agent isn't already out there, checking other cars.

Easy, no hassle, fast VIN verification by a very nice guy. You won't find this service as easy and without waiting anywhere else! It's cheaper to meet him out in the Sunset than for him to drive over to you. Highly recommended.

It was quick and smooth. Just a note that the location is a residential house and the owner would likely suggest you to park your vehicle in his driveway and he would come out and do the verification. The whole process took around 15 minutes.

I think that this may be one guy’s side hustle, but either way, it was super easy to make an appointment to verify my car’s VIN number, and cost $50.

Appointment was readily available. Took about 10 minutes. Easy peazy.
