I purchased my extended warranty through CarMax and I had to use it just recently. Everything went smoothly as expected and they really handled me with a great amount of respect and they were always available to answer any questions I had. They contacted the mechanic where my car was being worked on and made sure everything was handled in a timely manner. Thank you again!!!

Luca made it super easy to book an appointment. It was like appointment concierge service which was awesome. I didn't have to do the leg work, so that was really nice!

As a shop owner I would recommend other shops steer clear of RepairPal. When they call to recruit your services they make it sound like they will be referring great customer pay your way and you will have tons of referrals and make lots of money. Once you sign up you will get a constant stream of people that have extended warranties that think the warranty will cover every repair and maintenance cost. Tons of Endurance warranties which in my opinion are about as worthless as the paper they are printed on. Then, they want to low ball all the parts prices, lowball the labor times and take a 10% fee for whatever is sold regardless of if it was what they referred them for or if you sold a bunch of additional work that they did not have anything to do with. They want 10% not only of the first bill but any subsequent visits for the next 90 days as well as $199 per month to be on their referral list. They do offer a pay per referral rather than the 10% but when we switched to that the referrals we got either never showed up or were not willing to fix their cars but they bill you just for making the referral even if it is just a phone call or an oil change only. When you call to complain they say it is our fault if we do not convert them into appointment. They also will bill you for customers that have been customers for years if they have and extended warranty that they represent or make referrals for or if they are a USAA customer that has been a customer of yours for years because they handle referrals for USAA. If the customer has ever had a phone number that they have in their data base and they come to your shop, you are going to get a bill for them coming to your shop, even if they have been a customer for years. If you decide to quit their program it is a nightmare to get out and they require 30 days notice and will send you every crap referral they can the last 30 days to get every cent they can before they are cut off. They tell you it does not matter if you are on the 10% plan or the $50 per referral plan that you get the same quality of referrals but I had 10 months of service with them, 8 on the 10% plan and 2 on the $50 plan and there is no way they don't steer the few good ones to the 10% plan shops, once I switched it was night and day difference. At first I thought about switching back to the 10% plan but after talking to their customer service, or I should say customer disservice team I realized they were only in it for RepairPal and really don't care about the supposed partnership we are supposed to be a part of, they only want to bill the shops for every possible dollar they can get out of them. When they quote repairs, they expect you to match what they quote even though they never quote everything needed. They will quote a steering rack, price will be for the cheapest possible Chinese make rack that can be sourced anywhere in the world & expect you to do it for that price, labor will be off and they will not include flushing the fluid which suppliers always require to offer any kind of warranty with it and they also will not include an alignment which must be done with a steering rack, and then expect you to do the complete job for what they quote. If RepairPal calls your shop to recruit you, please run, don't walk, run away as fast as you can and you can thank me later.

Got a call out of nowhere trying to tell me that I forgot to activate my services with them and then he went on telling me everything I would get with them, then at the end he told me the price and then asked for my routing and account number without asking if its something I am interested in but made it sound like it was something that came with my car. I told him I cant do this right now since I am at work he then proceeded saying "its the last step though I just need those numbers and you will be on your way". I do not know I did not like the phone call I had with him. Made it sound like a scan but ended up being a legit business with just poor care for the customer. Sidenote the price was insane with what I already pay for my car + insurance.
